You and up to three friends can enjoy the marathon as a relay team! Each team will consist of 2-4 members (male, female or coed teams).
The course begins at beautiful Verrado in Buckeye Arizona. As the sun rises across the starting line, runners will be inspired by the magic and beauty of the desert terrain and fauna. The uniqueness of the West Valley will continue to inspire participants as the run through Avondale, home of Phoenix International Raceway and NASCAR. Avondale is a larger city which still boasts a small town feel. The course progresses on to Litchfield Park, where runners will appreciate the truly Southwest flair of the historic town. Runners will wind their way through the three beautiful Jack Palmer golf courses surrounding the luxurious Wigwam Resort and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Runners will focus on the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, Super Bowl XLII, and the Phoenix Coyotes, as they approach the final mile. The finish line will be a picture perfect finish with the Bellagio style water feature guiding the runners to the finish line at Westgate City Center.
One member of the relay team may pick up information packet, baton, and a parking pass for your relay exchange vehicle. Participants will be given detailed information for relay points, maps, parking and transportation at the Expo.
