Awards

Our Race is unique in how it gives out awards.  Six years ago, when our marathon board first began meeting, a decision was made not to give out age division awards. We thought it would be best to give higher quality shirts and medals to every participant rather than special awards to age category winners. At our CTCA 5K run, we give out BOTH shirts and medals to participants. For our Fit Kids Celebration, which only costs $5 to enter, we award each and every child a medal. The Board continues to feel that our primary focus should remain to reward and thank all participants who meet a fitness goal at a minimal cost to them. By recognizing each runner’s accomplishments with a medal, shirt and certificate, everyone’s a winner, and any additional money raised is donated back to our local communities! As a result, we give out only course over-all awards as noted below:

Medals will be given to all Marathon, Half Marathon, and each Relay team member.  Certificates

Awards Certificates are given to all finishers in the Full, Relay and Half Marathon.
All race participants may pick up a finishers certificate at the finish line certificate booth from 9 am to 1 pm                                                                                                                                                                     There are no age group awards for any of the races.

Prize Money

Prize Money will be given to the OVERALL top male and female finishers:
$250 Marathon
$100 Half Marathon
$100 Marathon Relay (top team)
$100 Masters(Runners age 40+) Marathon
$50 Masters Half Marathon

Awards Ceremony

Times will be posted for all finishers in the Marathon-Relay-Half Marathon.   Awards will be given out to OVERALL  top course finishers in the Marathon,  Half Marathon and Relay catagories.. The awards ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m., tbere are no age group awards.
